Part of the NSW Attorney General's Department and provides support and referral services for victims of crime in NSW. The website has applications for the Victims Assistance Scheme and compensation and the Approved Counselling Scheme.

The Motor Accidents Authority supervises the NSW Motor Accidents Scheme that provides third party personal injury insurance (through licensed insurers) for motor vehicles registered in NSW.

Centrelink may be able to provide Crisis Payments for eligible applicants who have experienced domestic violence.
  Link   The Signpost Hunter Homelessness Assessment and Referral Service
Provides homeless people with assistance, including low cost accommodation, appropriate referrals, and longer term case management.
  Link   The National Welfare Rights Network (NWRN)
Provide free and independent information, advice and representation about Social Security law and its administration. They operate in all states and territories of Australia and are independent of Centrelink and all government departments.
